Can-Mex is recognized for its fabulous fresh & extensive variety of flowers, this charismatic floral wholesaler has been around since 1977.

John Claridge started Can-Mex importing Mexican teepee and unrolling these palms on his front lawn. His endeavors were then broadened when the “chosen one” broke into the wholesaler/retail world.

This family run business consists of Moms, Dads, brothers, sisters and long-time friends that have been adopted into the family. Even our pets are family!

Our hard work and dedication has allowed us to build a long-lasting rapport with local, Ecuadorian, Colombian and Holland suppliers to name a few.

We have been able to keep our client’s success with variety, freshness and top quality.

    Our great province has many flowers to offer our industry. From alstromeria, chrysanthemums, lisianthus, anthrurium and gerbera daisies, the varieties are endless. These high quality products are grown in the Niagara region. To name a few of our amazing growers: Lindy's Flowers, Pineridge Farms, Creekside growers etc.

    Israel has a highly suitable climate, these conditions are encouraging the growth of high quality summer plants throughout the year. *Can-Mex gets weekly shipments of lisianthus & monstera from Israel.

    Has the landscape and climate that is beneficial to the growth of roses. The growers protect their crops with 20-foot-high canopies of plastic sheeting. The combination of intense sunlight, fertile volcanic soil, an equatorial location, and high altitude makes for ideal growing conditions, allowing roses to flower almost year-round. This farmland produces prime roses. *Can-Mex primary country of rose imports is Ecuador. Can-Mex Quality!

    Is one of the world’s top flower producers. 70% of all cut flowers imported into Canada & the US comes from Colombia. 187,000 tons of fresh-picked flowers every year. That’s a lot of blooms! * Can-Mex premium hydrangea are brought in weekly from Colombia! They know exactly what they’re doing!

    The soil and the damp, cool winters and shorter, mild summers provide ideal growing conditions for Boxwood & Oregonia. *Can-Mex Christmas Greens, ropes, garlands, wreaths, swags etc. are shipped in from Oregon.
